About This Project

Days of our Lives, one of the most celebrated and long-running daytime dramas in television history, presented us with a distinct challenge: create a fun, socially-driven, and technically “familiar” digital application to highlight its beloved cast and most iconic moments. The answer: DOOLMoji, the official emoji app from Days of our Lives.

DOOLMoji was designed with Days of our Lives’ unique audience and demographic in mind. The app has a simple, yet cheerful, user-friendly interface with easy-to-navigate sections that feature custom illustrated emoji stickers in three curated categories – cast portraits, poses and objects. The app features an installable keyboard, in-app sharing, and customizable emoji sizing sliders that allow fans to select the perfect emoji dimensions for their preferred platform.

In the lead up to DOOLMoji’s debut into the Apple App and Google Play stores, our team assisted Days of our Lives with the marketing buildup in the form of a microsite, strategy, social assets, instructionals, and video demos. Upon release, DOOL fandom went wild for the DOOLMojis. The app garnered thousands of downloads and social shares within the first 48 hours, propelling the app to the #1 spot in the app store charts.
